Bargain Sale Adds to Kieren Preserve on Susan Lake

Adam Slosar sold two lots adjacent to Charlevoix County’s Kieren Preserve to the Conservancy for a bargain sale. The addition adds 200 feet of protected frontage on Susan Lake and will be dedicated in memory of Slosar’s father. “My father and I had planned to do some catch and release fishing from the property,” said Slosar. “Now I will always have something that is protected, visible, and tangible to remember him by. In addition, my new daughter, who never met my father, will be able to appreciate the property in his remembrance.”

The Kieren Nature Preserve is located within the Susan Shores subdivision and borders Boyne City Road. Kathleen Kieren donated the original preserve to the Conservancy in 1993.
