Winter 2013 environmental education program registration begins November 28 and runs through December 14. Registration will resume January 2 and run through January 16, 2013. Programs begin January 22.
(Note: Teachers can sign up for winter and spring seasons during the registration period. Spring 2013 programs run from April 30-June 7, 2013.) The newly updated GKO Passport to Adventure is full of outdoor destinations from around Northern Michigan. The destinations listed are hosted by our current partner organizations. Once you have visited a partner site and have completed an outdoor activity, a staff member at the site will validate (stamp) your Passport to Adventure. For destinations with no partner site staff on site or for new destinations you may add, simply take your passport to the nearest partner site for them to validate. A printable version of the booklet is now available at www.gettingkidsoutdoors.org or you can call the LTC office for one copy per family. |
